Nose is one of the most prominent and most noticeable structure of the face. Nasal appearance affects the facial appearance significantly. Rhinoplasty is one of the most complicated cosmetic procedure. It is a precision surgery because one millimeter difference of nasal structure will change the facial appearance remarkably. Nose is also different among races. Asian rhinoplasty is also different from Caucasian rhinoplasty. As an US-trained plastic surgery and having work in a University hospital in Thailand, I am familiar with both augmented rhinplasty for Asian and reduction rhinoplasty for Caucasian or Arabian.
Due to the complexity of the procedure, I will have to meet you in person to examine and discuss your expectation. I will take life-sized photograph during this consultation. I will then plan my detailed procedure based on the proportion of your facial structures. I will then meet you to go over this plan before the procedure. Each patient will get customized procedure based on their facial profile and structures. You can get preliminary surgery plan from me if you send your photos to my email along with what you would like to achieve from the surgery. You can refer the photographs guideline section to take proper set of photos for my evaluation.
The procedure will be done under general anesthesia. You will stay in the hospital one night after the surgery. You will have a nasal splint on top of your nose to protect it for a week. You will need to avoid any eyeglasses, sunglasses or goggles for a month after the surgery. I also suggest my patients to avoid contact sports for a months after the surgery to prevent inadvertent injury to the freshly operated nose. For smoker, you need to stop smoking 4 weeks before and 4 weeks after the surgery. If you come from overseas, please plan to be in Thailand at least 7 days after the surgery.
